Protective Immune Responses To Vaccines

November 15, 2020 @ 11:20 AM - 11:40 AM EST

Immune responses are generally categorized as innate and adaptive. Both are essential for an effective host response and both play in concert to orchestrate vaccine-induced immune responses. This presentation will discuss the basic components of vaccine-induced immune responses and correlates of protection (immune markers statistically correlated with vaccine efficacy). Attendees will learn useful information about immune correlates that can be applied to help monitor vaccine production stability and whether individuals are at risk of infection or have responded appropriately to vaccine.
