Prevention Of Cancer Through HPV Vaccination

November 16, 2020 @ 2:00 PM - 2:20 PM EST

Human papillomaviruses (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the US and in June 2019, ACIP voted to harmonize catch-up vaccination for persons through age 26, and voted to recommend vaccination for persons aged 27-45 years based on shared clinical decision making. This presentation will review the ACIP recommendations for the use of HPV vaccines, the safety profile of the vaccines, and the population effectiveness demonstrated after the introduction of HPV vaccines.
