Preventing Measles Outbreaks through Vaccination

Measles is a highly contagious virus that can lead to complications, including serious complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis. This presentation will discuss the clinical features of measles and the epidemiology of the disease in the US and globally. However, even with a safe and effective vaccine, outbreaks of the disease in the US are ongoing and have prompted public health responses that include modifications to the vaccine schedule.
